Can I reserve items for later purchase?
I know it can be time consuming to select exactly the right items, so I'm happy to hold items for you for 24 hours. Just send me a convo and let me know the item numbers (four digit numbers at the end of the item name). I'll deactivate the items so that no one accidentally purchases them. When you're ready to purchase, let me know and I'll reactivate with your name in the title. If I haven't heard back from you in a day or so, I'll check back in with you to make sure you still want to purchase them before I reactivate them.
Are you a Smokey McSmokerson?
No way! We consider our little farm a fresh air factory, so there's no smoking allowed anywhere on our property, unless of course it's something on the grill.
Unfortunately, I have no way of knowing if the original owners of vintage items felt the same though. Typically, most items I sell go thru a thorough cleaning process, especially linens. Additionally, I have no control over the storage conditions with the shipping providers after they leave my care.

Care instructions
Most linens respond to a long soak in a gentle cleanser. I use everything from OxiClean or Biz to washing soda and borax. For stains, I usually pretreat with a Fels Naptha bar. The best whitener is the sun.
What's the deal with hanky lots?
In order to keep the cost minimal, I do not take the time to spot treat or soak or hang on the clothesline for sun exposure. They get a quick wash and iron. They're folded & tied with a ribbon & then placed inside a polypropylene resealable bag. Some of the hankies may have small, faint storage marks that will likely come out in a good soak. Typically, the flaws in the hankies will be unnoticeable. I try to sort out the ones that have anything larger than a pin hole, but one may occasionally slip by me. I try to always do a mixture of perfect with not-so-perfect. For me, the imperfect ones are more interesting. They've had a life! And they sometimes have the scars to prove it!
Do you combine shipping?
When you purchase multiple items, Etsy tries to charge the appropriate shipping fee. But sometimes it's possible to fit the items in a Flat Rate envelope or box, and reduce the shipping fee. Etsy can't really figure that out on its own. Rest assured that I will pack your items carefully, but I'll also ship by the most economical means possible. You will likely see a large shipping cost, but I'll refund back any excess fees as soon as I pack up your order. If Etsy selects Priority mail for your order, and you'd like to stay with that, please put a note in your order and I'll be sure to leave it as Priority. But if you're okay with First Class (provided its not too heavy), then let me know that as well.
How long will it take to get my order?
I pack orders most every day, but I only go into town to drop packages a couple of days per week. As a result, I've noted in all my listings that it can take 1 to 3 business days before your order actually ships. Once your order is accepted at the Post Office, I have absolutely no control of how long it will take to get to you. If you need something quickly, I do offer shipping upgrades. So please choose an appropriate service at checkout. If you need to confirm a delivery date before you purchase a shipping upgrade, please send me a convo and I can usually look it up for you. Please note that items with free shipping may not have tracking numbers. Items that are sent by USPS Media Mail can take weeks to arrive.
What if I'm unhappy with my purchase?
Please, please, before you leave negative feedback, send me a message! I'm most happy to work with you until you are completely satisfied. Bad reviews can really impact a small business such as mine. So I always go above and beyond to make sure that you are happy with your purchase.
